Join MHSA

Membership in the MHSA is a privilege and is offered to those persons who pay their current dues, abide by the rules of the MHSA and conduct themselves in a manner compatible with the best interests of the Association. The fiscal year of all memberships shall begin on December 1st. Dues for the current year must accompany each application for membership. Dues renewals may be paid up until the Annual Meeting, and still retain voting privileges.

Senior Members – Register Now
Senior members are those members who reached their eighteenth birthday prior to December 1st of the current year. An Individual Senior Member shall be eligible to vote at the Annual Meeting only if (1) he shall have been a Member of the MHSA during the current year and (2) his dues for the upcoming fiscal year of the MHSA shall have been paid to and received by the MHSA before the date of such Annual Meeting. Cost of Membership – $50

Senior Amateur Members – Register Now
Senior Amateur Members are those members who reached their eighteenth birthday prior to December 1st of the current year and comply with USEF Rule GR1306 outlining amateur certification. Senior Amateur Members must sign the MHSA Amateur Certification clause at time of membership registration each year in order to be able to compete in amateur-defined classes/divisions at MHSA-recognized competitions. An Individual Senior Amateur Member shall be eligible to vote at the Annual Meeting only if (1) he shall have been a Member of the MHSA during the current year and (2) his dues for the upcoming fiscal year of the MHSA shall have been paid to and received by the MHSA before the date of such Annual Meeting. Cost of Membership – $50

Junior Members – Register Now
Junior Members are those members who have not reached their eighteenth birthday and who do not qualify as senior members. Junior members shall not be entitled to vote at any meetings of members, but may attend such meetings. Cost of Membership – $40

Life Members – Register Now
Cost of Membership – $450

MHSA will charge a $15 fee for all changes in status and/or duplicates of documents due to loss. The MHSA will charge $45 for all returned checks.

Record a Horse – Owners/Leasee must be an MHSA member to register a horse. Horses must be registered and the owner/leasee a current MHSA member to accrue points in the hunter and jumper divisions. When you submit your information, you will be redirected to a page that will show all options you can purchase by credit card. The fees for registering a horse are as follows:

Lifetime Horse Recording – $50.00
Lifetime Farm – $60.00
Transfer of Ownership – $20.00
Record of Lease – $20.00 – Horse must already have a lifetime recording with the MHSA to record a lease
Change of Name – $35.00
